Welcome to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens
Our heritage listed gardens were established in 1857 and consist of 40 hectares of botanic gardens and arboretum located on the western shore of Lake Wendouree.
Our gardens have a collection of 8774 plants and 2264 unique taxa which you can now explore both online, and throughout your visit within the gardens.
Search for plants via one of the fields below, or select the 'Names' tab to search plant names alphabetically.
Select the 'Features' tab to discover our collection of marble statues, Prime Ministers busts and commemorative plaques along with building, parking, and amenity locations.
